It’s been a long time coming but the shiny new iteration of the Old Clare Hotel has swung open the doors. The saggy couches and sticky carpets are long gone, but the room is still lined in those ancient yellow pub tiles, glowing in the gentle light of the back lit oval bar. You can still get a beer here, but a pint of Reschs is $11 so if you’re dropping cash on a drink you may as well make it a cocktail.
